Hello,
We have upgraded our WBI servers with CSD04 fix pack. All flows were running fine on CSD02 with out any issues, but with CSD04 upgrade i see my ExGroups getting abended every few minutes . At the time of ExGroup getting abended the msgs will end up in dead.letter queue. Below is the error i see in my event log,
SRSDDIBR1.DDIEXEGRP1 ) Message broker internal error: diagnostic information 'As a result of a Severe Abend Error, a MiniDump has been written to: E:/WMQI/errors/SRSDDIBR1.DDIEXEGRP1.5680.5108.dmp'.
An internal software error has occurred in the message broker. Further messages will indicate the effect of this error on the broker's transactions. The diagnostic information associated with this message is: 'As a result of a Severe Abend Error, a MiniDump has been written to: E:/WMQI/errors/SRSDDIBR1.DDIEXEGRP1.5680.5108.dmp'.
Shutdown and restart the message broker. If the problem continues to occur, then restart the system. If the problem still continues to occur contact your IBM support center.

I am not sure if CSD04 is having bugs which is causing this problem.If any one can point me to root cause of the error it will be helpfull.

Is any one working on CSD04 level , if so did u see any issues with CSD04 fix pack. |

Environment: Solaris 8, WBIMB 5.0 w/CSD4, MQ 5.3 w/CSD8, Oracle 9.2.0.4
No issues.
I would suggest re-installing CSD4. If the problem persists, raise a PMR with IBM. |

Environment: Windows, WBIMB w/csd 04, MQ 5.3 w/csd 08 , DB2 8.2
i did face similar error and i opened a PMR with IBM and they sent me a fix which is under test now.
The execution groups got abended once in 2-3 days for me. |

In our Environment ExGroups are abending every 5 min's once .With small batch of msgs it works fine , but with large batches of msgs i see EXGroups getting abended every 5 min's once. (CPU at 100% usage)
What was your result installing the fix MR. rkford11.

Ya, we see the same problem.
We have installed the fix IBM sent us on all our LAB Brokers with noi siisue. DEV then QA then PROD over the next few weeks.
Since we can't force the abends at will, we have no way of testing the fix. Just install it and hope the abends stop. _________________ Peter Potkay

Mr. peterpotkay, will u be able to give me your PMR no., so that i can refer IBM and ask for the same fix for us also. We have opened a PMR 1 week back with IBM on the abend issueS in production , but till now we are waiting from IBM. |

IY64348 : DATABASE CONNECTION LOSS CAUSES BROKER MEMORY CORRUPTION

DataFlowEngine heap corruption can occur following the loss
of a database connection. The consequences of this are
unpredictable but may lead to DataFlowEngine abends.
To Apply this fix
-----------------
1) Stop the Broker using the mqsistop command.
2) Take a backup copy of the files that are to be replaced, so that in the case of
an error they can be re-instated.
- <install_directory>\bin\MessageServices.dll
- <install_directory>\bin\MessageServices.pdb
Important Note: If you choose to rename these existing files and leave them in
their existing directory, please ensure that the file extension is changed during
this rename. For example, do not rename MessageServices.dll to a name such as
MessageServicesOrig.dll. Instead rename it to a name such as
MessageServices.Origdll which does not have the .dll extension.
3) Copy the files supplied by this fix into the <install_directory>\bin.
- <install_directory>\bin\MessageServices.dll
- <install_directory>\bin\MessageServices.pdb
4) Restart the Broker using the mqsistart command.
