There truly is more than one way to skin a cat, but the limited market for cat skins makes learning more than three methods impractical.

I'd think most of us spent too much time herding cats to want to bother with skinning them.

Exactly. Dogs you can train to do things you want them to do. Sit, roll over, go fetch etc etc. Cats do whatever the hell they want, when they want to do it.

It is possible to train both Cats and Bosses to respond to certain stimuli in predictable, repeatable ways.

Yes but Bosses, due to their short attention span require constant re-inforcment and are seldom around long enough to make it worth the effort.

Cats on the other hand, all you have to do is feed them once and you can't get rid of them.
