Hello ppl

I have an organisation with say 50 offices. The Workflow roles are duplicated in each office. If a process is triggered by a user in a office how do I route the next activity to a another role in the same office.

The processes and roles are identical accross the entire organisation, they should just be confined to a specific office.

I cannot have just one role because then all people in that role for the entire country will get that worklist entry. The processes are office bound, so I need to manage this.

Any ideas how this can be done? The manuals tell me nothing!

Thanks
Calabi

Use 2 roles for activity assignment: OFFICE and the desired role. The office role would be assigned from container and wold point to a specific role that named all of the people for the office in question. The activity is then assigned only to people who have the proper Office and the Deisred Role.

I would say that if you do not know how to assign the role using the container, that you probably need to consider getting some help with your design. This is a pretty basic concept. I would have a look at more of the available doc. If you are doing your modeling with WBI Modeler, you should still read the Buildtime manual. Try this redbook:

Also have a look at support pack WD01.
