Some time back, the application was running with MQ v6.0.2.4 and oracle 10g. Recently, there has been a migration to MQ v7.0.1.9 and Oracle 11g.

The application code is still the same that used to work with the previous MQ and oracle configuration.

Now since a few days, the developers are complaining about the low performance of the server.

Is MQ to blame? Where else should I look to get to the root of the problem as far as MQ is concerned?

Did you plan for this? Did you re-provision the hardware to take on the larger server software? What else changed?

Yes.. This was a planned activity. The hardware has aslo been upgraded. The DBAs have ruled out any problems with the database.

If you are using Solaris zones make sure your MQ system has not been allocated a slow disk.
