If I am publishing a message on a particular topic, and if there are no queues registered for that topic, where is the message stored internally in the Websphere Message broker?

Which version of message broker are you using? It may not be stored in broker at all.

Why do you need to know?

I am using WMBv6.1 and I would like to know the internal operation of Message Broker. Is there any system queue where the published message is stored?

I echo the comment of my associate and ask why. Is there a problem you're trying to fix, or is this just morbid curiosity?

Again, I concur with my associate. Depending on the exact circumstances, it may not be stored at all. In many cases it won't be.

Thanks.. even I found out that it will not be stored anywhere intrernally in Message Broker. And this was a technical question on the working of MB for some specific requirement, hence asked.

Well it might be, it just normally isn't.

And perhaps if you'd asked how to meet your requirement rather than a very specific & technical question, you might have got some more helpful responses than "it usually isn't".
