Greetings,
The client I am at is running SUSE Enterprise Linux version 11. We are trying to figure out the kernel parameters. The Quick beginnings guide shows this:
------ Shared Memory Limits --------
max number of segments = 4096
max seg size (kbytes) = 18014398509481983
max total shared memory (kbytes) = 4611686018427386880
min seg size (bytes) = 1
------ Semaphore Limits --------
max number of arrays = 1024
max semaphores per array = 250
max semaphores system wide = 256000
max ops per semop call = 32
semaphore max value = 32767
------ Messages: Limits --------
max queues system wide = 1916
max size of message (bytes) = 65536
default max size of queue (bytes) = 65536
We can figure out where most of them matchup, but the kernel.sem field is jumbled compared to the semaphore limits field from the ipcs -l
Can anyone help us out and see if everything is ok?
