But when i did the

application mqm-06-00-02-00 WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris - U806616

I have been removing fixpack 6.0.2.2 from my dev/QA machines and installing fixpack 6.0.2.5. The install went fine and I have not seen any negative outcome from doing that. Should I have left fixpack 2? Am I going to get an unwelcomed surprise down the road? |

No.
You just made more work for yourself than was necessary. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Typically when dealing with fixes to MQ you make sure of the following:
- commit current fix level
- install next level in uncommitted state : will allow rollback
- verify fix ...
So not removing the previous fix makes a rollback easier if you run into problems... Enjoy _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
