Hi,
I am seeing some difference in MsgsIn and MsgsOut vlues for some of the queues while using MQMON stats. Some of them have a huge difference (In:30 to Out:3574).
Your apps are getting messages and backing them out over and over and over. Every get counts as a new get. Every backout does not count as a put. _________________ Peter Potkay

Most monitoring tools use the Rest Queue Statistics command to get the info they need to desplay how many messages are going in and out of a queue. I have my monitoring tool, QPASA, do it every 60 seconds. Others do it every 15 seconds I have heard.
Will it have an impact if you do it every 10 minutes? I would be surprised if it did, but I don't know how close your systems are to their limits of performance. _________________ Peter Potkay
