Hi,
I am seeing some difference in MsgsIn and MsgsOut vlues for some of the queues while using MQMON stats. Some of them have a huge difference (In:30 to Out:3574).

Any idea?Thanks.

Your apps are getting messages and backing them out over and over and over. Every get counts as a new get. Every backout does not count as a put.

Thanks Peter.
And is there any significant performance impact on the QMGR/server if i use MQMON frequently (say once every 10 minutes)

Most monitoring tools use the Rest Queue Statistics command to get the info they need to desplay how many messages are going in and out of a queue. I have my monitoring tool, QPASA, do it every 60 seconds. Others do it every 15 seconds I have heard.

Will it have an impact if you do it every 10 minutes? I would be surprised if it did, but I don't know how close your systems are to their limits of performance.
