Well, I got IA9Z working, sort of, on v6.1.0.2

I am trying to run a .bat file that will rename a file. My issue now is passing parameters to the scrpt. I can get the script to fun from the node configuration. But I am having difficulties passing parameters to the script. My next step is to build a message and pass it to the node to do this dynamically.

How do you specify the node 'Job Location' field to pass parameters to the scrpt.

when I set the value of the field to 'C:\temp\rename.bat' (without the quotes. the scrpt executes.

When I set it to 'C:\temp\rename a.txt b.txt' (with and without the quotes or 'C:\temp\rename.bat<"a.txt b.txt"' (with and without the outter quotes) it does not execute my script and hangs the execution group with JAVA errors. I have to reboot my machine to get at the EG to do anything.

If someone is using IA9Z at all I would like to chat. This SP seems to be a tempermental beast.

I was wondering if there is a reason that you are using this SP and not using MQ triggers.

well, that would have been the #1 option if this support pack was not available. But I would then need to pass the data in the queue, have the script read the data, parse it and then perform the rename execution. Then I would need to respond back to the flow that the process completed. This is all taken care of if this node would work as described.

I have WTX in the mix so right now that is my second option to do the rename. But this SP would have been the my pick.
