iSeries MQ Client is sim. in nature to z/OS? Correct?

No outbound and the inbound is a seperatly purchasable item?

SupportPacs MA45 (V6.0) and MA46 (V7) provide Java clients.

Please note:

The following functions are not supported:

» An application that needs syncpoint coordination with other resource managers.
» Get(signal) on z/OS.

AFAIK, there is no CAF for iSeries, nor a need for one.

iSeries is the Unix codebase for Websphere MQ, and not the zOS codebase.

But as David.Patridge says, there is no MQ Client.

iSeries and z/OS are server only.

I-series can accept inbound MQ client connections (no charge for this feature).

I-series can't itself become a MQ client - except when using Java on I-series.
