iSeries MQ Client is sim. in nature to z/OS? Correct?
No outbound and the inbound is a seperatly purchasable item? |

SupportPacs MA45 (V6.0) and MA46 (V7) provide Java clients.
Please note:
The following functions are not supported:
» An application that needs syncpoint coordination with other resource managers.

AFAIK, there is no CAF for iSeries, nor a need for one.
iSeries is the Unix codebase for Websphere MQ, and not the zOS codebase.
But as David.Patridge says, there is no MQ Client. |

I-series can accept inbound MQ client connections (no charge for this feature).
I-series can't itself become a MQ client - except when using Java on I-series. |
