You shouldn't be using setmqcap.
Setmqcap doesn't apply to MQ v6.
All versions of MQ that setmqcap applies to, are out of service at the end of September.
You should not be installing new copies of software earlier than MQ v6.

I am using MQ5.3 my client want to increase the # of processors for synchronization between processors # and license # i have to use # setmqcap command after using this command do i need to restart QM. _________________ Chandra Mohan |

Fortunatelly or unfortunatelly i didn't tried it earlier however i have to do it very soon thats why i am asking for it.
Is it necessary to restart QM or MQ after using #setmqcap command ??

Do you have to restart the machine to add more processors?
It will take you exactly two minutes, or less, to try this command on some test server, and find out what happens. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
