This problem is in a WBIMB v5 fp9, MQ v5.3 fp7 environment. We are trying to upgrade AIX from 5.2 ML04 to ML08. Steps are to upgrade to ML05, recycle server, upgrade to ML06, recycle, etc. WBIMB and it's qmgr are started in server start scripts and everything comes up fine, until we go from ML07 to ML08. As soon as the broker start command executes, the server reboots. We've disabled the mq and mb start scripts and started them manually and everything comes up as expected until the mqsistart <broker> is executed and the server immediately reboots.
There is an FDC file being cut just before the reboot, contents below. Nothing in the qmgr error log except normal qmgr start stuff, and all that is in the broker syslog is the posting that an FFST record is being created in /var/mqm/errors. Our AIX admin found some info in the errpt. I've included the beginning of the FDC and the errpt info below. Have any of you experienced this?

The thing about PMRs is...
It's not that it's the "squeaky" wheel that gets the "grease"...
It's the *squeakiest!* wheel that gets the grease.
The people at L2 and L3 are very hard working, and they do everything they can to serve everyone equally...
But there are significantly fewer of them then there are customers.
So, ... they have to prioritize.
Please review the terms of service for a Sev 2 PMR, and ensure that you can live with those terms and that your situation matches those terms. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
