What's the best way (link) to use to file problem reports about version 5.3 of MQ for Tandem Nonstop systems?
I have access to IBMLINK, it that what I should use? If it is, does any know the "Software Component Id" that should be used for the Tandem based 5.3 product? I have tried all of the numbers I have found in the documentation and in the read me files and none of them work.
I have a number of problem reports to file and would like to enter the information just once, in the right place.
Thanks for you help. |

I use the esr interface to IBM for the Tandem. I do not have itaniums just a bunch of G series systems.
https://www-925.ibm.com/software/support/esr/esrHome.do
is the link i use
ESR will allow you to generate a PMR (case) but, like all things you need to be authorized by your companies IBM services coordinator.
If you know youir customer number with IBM you could try calling 800-225-5249 and tell them to find the Tandem under passport advantage screen.
If you haven't been to IBM in the past for MQ Tandem support I recommend patience most if not all first contact folks only know how to spell the name.

Yes, those are the numbers I was looking for. I had tried the 5724A39 but without the 01 or 02. Thanks. |

Thanks, I did try entering a problem ticket though IBMLINK and it appears to work. I did get a response from IBM asking for more information. |
