WMQTool is no longer free, it costs $499 per user. |
Good to know. I'll need to move it from the Free MQ Tools page to the Commercial MQ Tools page.

Only 476 posts to go for the owner of the site that is giving neelatul the ability to promote his commercial product.

4 of those on that list are IBM employees.
Actually, I only know for sure that three of them AREN'T. So up to 7 of them could be IBM employees. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I have no connection with the product, although I have frequently recommended it as a freeware tool.
But it seems to have gone from one extreme (free) to the other (quite pricey).
This seems to value the product in total at over $1m if it sells 2000+ licenses. Whereas the product gives the impression of being developed in someone's spare time.
It certainly has good potential if the documentation is made more professional, the bugs ironed out, the user interface made more consistent, the speed improved in some respects and so on.
However I do think it is over-priced at present. |

Zpat,
I appreciate your neutral comments.
I agree that the tool has been a lower priority project since last 5 years. But I do not agree about its potential of 2000+ licenses. It is way toooo optimistic. If that would have been the case, there are number of people here who know bits and bytes of MQ and can even develop a better software.

support & maintaince fees are usually between 15 and 20 % annually,
I personally use 15% for my product(s). _________________ Michael

The range I have seen is 15% to 30%. But for 30%, you usually get 1 person dedicated to the account.
For MQVE, MQVB & MQBT since they are Java, hence cross-platform, I don't charge for support or v1.* upgrades. But for MQAUSX & MQSSX, I have had to purchase 12 servers so far (and still growing) to compile it natively. Hence, I charge a 15% annual maintenance fee.
That's my 2 cents.

Roger Lacroix

What a rip off! I have been using WMQTool in the past but for that price its not worth it. There are other tools out there which are far cheaper.
Mr Atul you have a good little product there but I think at that price you will only get a few buyers. |

Fine, at this moment I need only 1805 posts to get a free version - how long do I have time .
Or I still use my favorite tool MQMON (SupportPac MO71) . _________________ Regards

I guess the real question is whether Jeff gets 5 licenses, because he has 5 times 2000 posts.
So we just start of a completely meaningless discussion, and you will get your free license in no time |

I certainly have no need for a license for this tool.
But I have no idea if neelatul will let me transfer the one or several free licenses. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
