Hi,
I want to config db2 as remote database for broker, how to config the data source for the broker?
some thing of db2 need to be installed on broker?

Hi thomaszheng,

1. You have to install the db2 client.
2. From the control center add a node to the remote database.
3. Make an ODBC source for the remote database.

I want to use the remote db2 for broker's database need. broker itself need a database.

edit the .odbc.ini file. You would be well advised to read the Installing and Configuring manuals:

db2 has a "administration client" and a "application development client", which client should be installed for creating a data source for db connection?

Hi thomaszheng,

I would not even bother if I installed the server and not the client, as long as i dont use the server options.

Guess you are a developer so go for the "application development client"...
Kidding, I think the administration one will install lot of the other monitoring tools along with your installation, which are not required.
