We have an client application (written on Java, running on Win2K) that is attempting to remotely connect to a queue manager and put messages to a queue. In addition, the MQ IPT v1.3 client is running ("ready to receive connections") on the client PC. However, when we run the client app, the "2009" or MQRC_BROKEN_CONNECTION code is thrown when the connection is being made. We've confirmed the channel name is spelled correctly. Any thoughts??? |

In case you're using CSD08, 09 or 10 without interim fix, check out: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24683, and enter the two attached links. Otherwise, search the forum for 2009 (as you should have already before posting), see what you can find. |

I should mention that we have the same client app running in at least a dozen other remote offices. In one location, I had the user run the application directly on the server instead of the PC (which mapped to the server's drive where app and IPT reside) to eliminate the 2009 error. Also, I got advice from another guy (thx R---) about checking the max channels setting (qm.ini) and amqcrsta processes on the queue manager server. I'll know more once the MQ admin gets back to me. |

...another thing. We are currently running on MQ 5.3 CSD 7, so the the fixpack makes sense if the workaround doesn't solve the problem. |
