is there any difference between Online and offline server deployment of process application snapshots in ibm BPM 8.5 ?
Why can't we do Online server deployment instead of offline ?
Online server: Deploying process application snapshots and
Offline server: Deploying process application snapshots . |

Offline Server -

an offline server that is running but is not connected to Process Center
BPMCreateOfflinePackage details are getting used in Offlie deployment.
make sure, you make it process inlined before proceeding with Offline deployment,
assume 2 process center planning to do offline deployment, packages will go out-of-sync soon in this scenario.
There are very less cases that a server being offline and disconnected from Process Center, however this depends upon your design and decision factors
Online server: Deploying process application snapshots you can do directly from Process Center, this is the good way so you can validate the packages going to the servers.
