Hi,
We have MQ queue manager running and it abruptly stops generating FDC's.
The snippet of the FDC is shown below :
[quote]
Major Errorcode :- xecS_E_BLOCK_NOT_FREE |
| Minor Errorcode :- OK |
| Probe Type :- INCORROUT |
| Probe Severity :- 2 |
| Probe Description :- AMQ6125: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred. |
| FDCSequenceNumber :- 0
[\quote]
In the AMQERR01 log file says that the system is low on resources but there is a huge memory of 14GB. So there cannot be a memory or disk space problem. But donno why the queue manager is stopping.
Can any1 please throw some light on this if any1 has encountered such a problem.
Thanks |

I'd be more worried that it was generating FDCs in the first place!

But not the useful snippet. As has been said many times here, it's the Probe Id that is the most first port of call.

Why not? It might have a lot of memory but could still be out of allocated disc. Likewise it could have run out of shared memory or semaphores. Or disc handles.
First question: what is the Probe Id?
Second question: how long has the queue manager been generating FDC files that you're worried it's abrubtly stopped?
Third question: WMQ version, platform, all the usual stuff. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The version of MQ is 7.0.1.2.
The queue manager is stopping since few days and whenever it stops the FDC's are generated.
Ok how do we know whether the queue manager is utilising all the memory i.e 14GB. Or do we have to raise a PMR for such an issue.
Thanks |

The qmgr should not be utilizing all the memory.
If you have an out of resource condition, I suspect it will boil down to out of allocated filespace.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Look at the ProbeId in the FDC files. Or raise a PMR & send them the FDC files. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Which could be why it's running out of resources, pulling the software through the time/space vortex like that.
In theory though, you wouldn't get an FDC. Just hear the Cloister Bell... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
