Hi,
I am not able to unistall the Message Broker runtime 6.0.5 as uninstall wizard fails to remove the product successfully at Winodws.
I am getting below error while installing the MB 6.0.3 runtime:
' Higher version of software already present. Can not install a lower version'
Can anybody tell how we can can remove the MB runtime product manually at Windows?
I have tried below steps :
1. Cleaned Broker Registries..
2. Backup of ...program file/IBM/mqsi directory and delete it.
3. Delete ......Document and Settings/All Users/IBM/mqsi directory..
After this i reinstall the product but it fails with the abovelisted errror..
Cheers,
Aditya |

I faced this problem because
1. After installing Fix pack 5...documents & Settings/profile/local setting/tmp/ISMP001 directory get damaged...
2. Broker was not able to read the DLL present in this.
3. on Further check we found most of the direcories in profile directory was corrupted...
4. windows team have created the broker service id profile directory again...
5. I tried uninstalling the product using standard methods... but it fails..
So i need to do manual cleanup of MB installation from the server.. |

with the amount of dmaged folders and corrupted information it sounds like you need a new server rather than a reinstall _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard drive?

Is there any existing broker on the machine. First delete them and then try to uninstall the product. Are you getting any specific error during uninstallation? |
