Can someone please tell me the exact meaning of this property?

As far as i understand heart beat interva is the time that the sender channel waits and tries to connect other queue manager.

What happens when this time interval is over??

No. The usage varies between message & client channels, but this interval is the separation between heartbeats over a connected channel.

Another heartbeat is sent. Unless the channel has disconnected / quiesced / gone inactive / etc in the meantime.

A fuller description of the use of the heartbeat is included with the parameter description.

Parameters are not in the Red Books, they're in the principle documentation. In this case the Command reference or it's online equivalent!
