A queue manager has no IP adress.
Get one for your NIC changed, and put the CONNAME parameter on your receiving channels accordingly. |

QMGRs don't have IP addresses.
Listeners use IP addresses.
Channels use IP addresses. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Can you give more info on your scenario? I'm not sure if you mean:
"I've changed the IP address of the host machine and what do I need to change in the qmgr itself" .... -or- "I've changed the IP adress of the host machine and what do I need to change in the other qmgrs in the network"...
and also, are you using MQ clustering and DNS servers? _________________ -wayne |

You will need to - configure the machine to know the ip address (if not already done)
- stop the listener
- start the listener on the new ip address
- change all sender channels that point to this qmgr to use the new ip address in their conname (if your channels are using dns names, this is easy)
- change any cluster receiver channels to use the correct address in their connames
- restart any affected channels (for a cluster, simplest to restart the qmgr)

On the listener, you USUALLY specify the TCP/IP port # to listen on (-p) and MAY specify the IP address to listen on (-i). If -i isn't specified, then all IP addresses available in the stack are listened on
Don't forget that unless you're using a DNS, the SENDER channels and CLUSRCVR / CLUSSDR channels are going to need to change too..... _________________ -wayne |
