All,

Wanted to see if it is possible to rename the Execution Group in Broker which was created already. I dont see any MQSI command to serve this request. Is it anyway possible?

It certainly used to be possible from MBX, but I don't recommend it for various reasons. I've found it to be safer to delete and recreate.

There's no supported way to do this that I'm aware of; certainly no mqsi command.

I'd concur with my worthy associate; delete the EG, recreate the EG and redeploy all the code out of your repository via the automated process.

This "renaming" scenario is of course another good reason to have a repository of code and an automated process to control deployment. This activity is much harder if you have to scratch around to identify what code's in Prod.

The EG rename option is still there in MBX and IBX.

But if you try it - various things can break such as the security - since the MQ profiles which control access are not renamed. Nor are any directory paths that refer directly to the EG name such as /var/mqsi/config<brokername>/<EGname>
