Could anyone please tell me that how would it be possible to call a remote application program located out side of the Mainfram from within a CICS application program.

You want to make an RPC call to an application on a different server?

It might hurt less to have your CICS app send a WMQ request message out to the application in question and then read a reply. Rather a more standard method I think.

And the solution to this post of yours, but the other way round.

Couldn't it be done through an APPC call?

Try it and see. If it works, yes. If it doesn't, try reposting on a CICS forum.

Yes.

Another method would be to make use a multi-platform job scheduler (like IBM's Tivoli).
