EOS for WMB 6.0 is April 2011
Notwithstanding what Jeff has said, there is no EOS announced for WMB 6.1 yet, maintenance is still being provided.
WMB 7 has only just had it's first fixpack out. We have only just installed it for testing. It does require WMQ v7 as well, which in turn may require a higher fixpack for you on WMB 6.0.
Outside the lab - upgrades can take years to implement. |

Yes. I agree.
That's why a) start NOW, b) SKIP a version, so that when the upgrade is COMPLETE in a year or so, you won't be BACKDATED again.
There is not currently an EOS for 6.1. I don't expect one soon, but I'd also hate to complete an upgrade just AFTER one was announced, or worse, expired! |

As a general rule, WMB follows the "Enhanced IBM Support Lifecycle Policy", which states a minimum of five years of support from the GA date. After this time, you can purchase additional support for a further three years. (Because of this, it's often referred to as "5+3 support".)
For more info on this, see here: http://www-01.ibm.com/software/support/lifecycle/lc-policy.html |
