In our company, we use crossworlds and MQ Series. Last week we had a unexpected server crash. So MQ server was terminated abnormaly and our sender channel went to retry status when we tried starting the Qmanager. we could see the following error message in /var/mqm/qmgr/error - AMQERROR log file.
AMQ9558: Remote Channel is not currently available.
EXPLANATION:
The channel program ended because the channel 'Z1MHI.MQH1.ONL' is not currently
available on the remote system. This could be because the channel is disabled
or that the remote system does not have sufficient resources to run a further
channel.
ACTION:
Check the remote system to ensure that the channel is available to run, and retry the operation.
We asked the client to check their receiver channel end. They said their receiver channels are running. But we could see "Remote channel not available" in our error log.
Then we asked the client to stop their channel and restart, so that we could able to connect our sender channel to their receiver channel. They could stop their receiver channel only using Force mode and they started the receiver channel. Now we are fine. But i need to know the reason, why the sender channel not going to "Running" state when we start the Qmanager??
