Whenever the network is terminated unexpectedly, our MQ sender channel is going to Retry. To make the sender channel "running", we need to get the client's help each and every time, asking them to stop their receiver channel using Force command and then restart. Then only we can able to start our sender channel.
Note: Our MQ environment is in UNIX. Client side MQ is in z/OS environment.
Iam not familiar with these issues. Please can anyone explain me, what is the reason for this issue, and we can do to overcome this issue? |

looks like the receiving end did not recognize the connection being broken.
this can be archieved e.g. by using heartbeats on the channel together with the RCV* parameters (check the administration guide).
in addition, the receiving end should check if they use the adoptmca parameters. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

Thanks for the Reply
We asked the client to check their ADOPTMCA parm, and they have it as "NO". We asked them to change that to "YES" and they did that too.
Is that the only reason for this issue? or do I need to check some thing else? |

I would recommend that you review the information in the MDOC supportpac. Don't let the date bother you - it deals with the basics of MQ channel management. _________________ Bill Matthews |
