"Check the username and password"
What USER ID are you logged on with. Is it a member of the local Asministrator, MUSR_MQADMIN or mqm group?
From a DOS prompt can you run the runmqsc command?
What version of windows are you running, 2000, 2003, XP? _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

dcomcnfg - find the dcom application for MQSeries, and look at its properties, identity page. That configures the userid it is running under, so I would suggest getting that userids pwd changed, then typing the new pwd into that panel
In an active directory environment you need to change the userid from the default local userid to a domain userid - see the quick beginnings manual |
