MS03 (aka Save queue manager)
Tape Backups
Good documentation

Since you specified "MQ object" MS03 is correct. I usually don't bother to automate this process or store saveqmgr files to tape. What I do is, everytime I modify as in alter, create or delete object in a QManager or the QManager attributes themselves I run the saveqmgr script. I store a copy of that file locally and I copy it to another remote server.

In most environments I have found that MQManagers and there objects are not modified often enough to warrant an automated daily, weekly or monthly backup. So, if you always make a backup when you are done making modifications you are in pretty good shape.
