All,

I have attempted to install WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker on Red Hat ES. However, each time I attempt to run an mqsi command, I am met with the following error:

Code:
mqsilist: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++lib6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am able to excute WebSphere MQ commands, as well as DB2 commands. I have also set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.19.

Finally, this is the output from "which java"

Code:
/opt/IBMJava2-15/bin/java

Any help would be appriciated!

Use some sort of an rpm command option to print all packages installed on your machine and grep for libstdc++lib6. You probably do not have that package installed.

It was not there. Do you know where I could find it?

That was it! I guess I refused to belive that my Linux install was missing the file. I went to the site below to obtain it, if anyone else is having the same problem:

http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/latest/i386/RPMS.os/compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.126.i386.rpm

Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!!

That's a fatal assumption. Linux - even out of the box is full of missing dependencies, incompatible packages, unmaintained man pages that are out of sync with the source code just to name few problems.

Btw. I am neither Linux or Microsoft proponent.
