For the last few days I have noticed that I am no longer getting notifications from the board when a reply is posted to a topic I am watching. I switched to my gmail account, and still I am no longer getting the notifications... Is this happening to everyone?

Thanks

Two replys no notification.... I don't really understand what ISPs do to filter spam... is it possible that somehow they are thinking that the notification message falls into the spam category?

I'm testing this myself now.

If I don't get an email, then likely the only one who knows what's going on in Brandon.

I don't think so. The EMail account that I am using for the replies, has no SPAM filter, as it is one that is on my own domain.

Okay, I haven't gotten an email from sebastianhirt's reply (and I doubt he'll get one from this message).

So something is broken, and only the admin knows what.

I have sent a note to Brandon...

Hopefully we will get an answer to this riddle.

I ran into this issue with a phpBB board I run. It seems on my server mail from PHP that is going to external domains was turned off to throw off spamming coming out of the server.

Perhaps the same is taking place here.

There is some problem with my mailserver. The hosting company is looking into it.
I'll let everyone know when it is resolved.

Sorry!

So I gave up on the hosting company's support crew to figure it out so I took matters into my own hands and discovered that postfix was unable to connect to its database to figure out where to send outgoing emails. I restarted the database and now everything should be back to normal.

I apologize in advance for the deluge of emails you're gonna get since they all got queued up on my server!

The issue I had was related to the spamming thing I had mentioned, what I did to circumvent is modify the emailer.php code to use the actual admin e-mail address from the administration configuration in the headers of the e-mails, which helped it coming from a real active mail account. I also changed it to smtp mail, server: localhost username: blank password: blank.
