Hi,
Has anyone ever known a Server Connection Channel to go into Retry status?
This is what I have been told by the mainframe admins, however my understanding is the server conn channel doesn't connect to anything. It simple listens to client connections coming inbound.
Can any explain or clarify this?
Thanks,

Sure, you can have a server-receiver pairing if the server is fully qualified (ie, has conname info) an you can specify "retry" info on that definiton. _________________ -wayne |

Hi,
The server Connection Channel we have specified is only setup on the Qmgr. It has no connection details (doesn't have the option).
Clients connect to this channel using the Qmgr name and Qmgr port.
This is not a server-reciever pair.
regards,

Oh, SVRCONN channel ends do not go into retry..... nor do CLNTCONN ends of the channel, unless the application re-drives the MQCONN/X. _________________ -wayne |
