MQ 5.3 CSD 7 on AIX.

All of a sudden errors appeared in the logs stating -

AMQ9543: Status table damaged.
EXPLANATION:
The channel status table has been damaged.

We could not do a runmqsc on the QMgr and when we stopped and tried to restart it just hung and the error log stated -
AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.
EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the WebSphere MQ error recording routine has been called.

Looks like we'll be logging a call with IBM, but anyone seen this before?

Regards

I've never personally encountered this problem but since it has an error code you could have looked it up in the WMQ Messages Guide. See below.

AMQ9543 Status table damaged.
Explanation: The channel status table has been
damaged.
User Response: End all running channels and issue a
DISPLAY CHSTATUS command to see the status of the
channels. Use the standard facilities supplied with your
system to record the problem identifier, and to save the
generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has
been resolved.

What kind of .FDC files were created? Look in /var/mqm/errors for *.FDC (otherwise known as FFST's) files that were generated at or soon after the time the error you saw was witten to the log.

Search on Google or the IBM website for the Probe ID.

What fix pack are you on. Looks like this is a problem which was fixed in CSD10. Here is the link with more information in it.

Hope this helps.
