HI THERE
I THINK I'M HAVING AND UNUSUAL PROBLEM.
I HAD TO CHANGE A FEW QUEUE MANAGERS FROM SOME SERVERS
AND ALSO THEIR HOSTNAMES AND ETC. BUT WHEN I RE-JOINED EM TO THE CLUSTER, THE QUEUE MANAGERS STILL TRY TO CONNECT THEM ON THE OTHER HOSTNAMES, AND THEY ALSO CONNECT TO THE NEW HOSTNAMES.
THE PROBLEM IS.. I'M HAVING A LOT OF EVENT NOTIFICATIONS ON EVENT VIEWER THAT AREN'T NECESSARY. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO NOT HAVE THESE MESSAGES? OR I'LL HAVE TO RECREATE THE ENTIRE CLUSTER?

PLEASE DON'T POST IN ALL CAPS - this has been an Internet rule since roughly 1980.
You likely don't need to recreate your entire cluster. You probably didn't properly remove the queue managers from the cluster before you changed them.
You can force a refresh of the entire cluster, this should get rid of the "bad" definitions - make sure you have also deleted or changed any manual channels to/from full repositories.

| I think jeff means a RESET CLUSTER, not a REFRESH. Check in the cluster manual. |

| Also, if you change connames on the cluster channels, make sure you do it on CLUSRCVRS. |

Well, if you RESET it, that refreshes the definitions, right?

No.
RESET only removes cluster metadata, in this case about a qmgr which is no longer in the cluster.
REFRESH updates the local cluster cache by removing the data and resubscibing to the other qmgrs in the cluster for the latest information. |
