Hallo,
is there a way the increase the logfilesize of QMgr ?
I know the "legal" way is at creation time: crtmqm -lf _ _ _
Is it possible to increase the logfilesize with a dummy QMgr ???
Kind regards

You could, but you turn your MQ data into an unsupported system.
No user-serviceable parts inside...
Best course of action is to redefine your qmgr with the largest log file size possible for your platform, and chalk it down to experience. |

Nigel, Chris,
When I would have a tool for restoring the qmgr data area from backup, I should have never tried some hackings. (data = object definitions + messages + ACL; but ACL = messages in this SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE).
Otherwise, why should be my MQ an unsupported system? When I lost my transaction logs (and its backups ) after any disaster (short-curcuit, sysadmin, etc) I should delete my qmgr, if I know simpler and/or faster ways?
