Can anyone tell me why I would want to get the JMS Adapter for WBI Message Broker? Doesn't WBIMB do all of it's functions anyway?
From the Adapters Info Center (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wbihelp/index.jsp):
Quote: |
The adapter supports two primary operations:
1. The retrieval of messages from a JMS destination
2. The delivery of a message to a JMS destination
The adapter performs both operations by establishing a connection to a JMS provider (such as WebSphere MQ) and then using the JMS API to:
* Poll and retrieve existing messages from a JMS destination
* Generate and deliver new messages requested by the broker

What you say makes sense to me. It makes sense to use the JMS adapter against ICS but not with WBIMB unless somebody can give a strong reason against this. |

JMS Adapter is mainly developed to ICS as the Integration Broker.
The Deilvery Transport for the Adapters when WBIMB as the Broker, is defaulted to JMS, In other words, you cannot the change the option.
whereas when ICS as the Broker, u have the options of IDL, JMS, MQ
