GREAT OPPORTUNITY WITH A STABLE COMPANY in beautiful San Diego CA! This is a full-time, permanent position.

Our client is seeking a WBI / MQ Series Systems Administrator for application-to-application integration in their San Diego location.
This candidate must have WBI and MQ Series SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE!!

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, administering, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting IBM WebSphere Integration series of tools with particular emphasis on ICS and ICS-related components. Duties will include working on projects and performing administrative duties on existing WBI infrastructure.

The candidate will recommend, install and customize WBI-related products,
* Will provide performance tuning and capacity planning functions for WBI and MQ Series,
* Will have the ability to leverage strong written and verbal skills to produce clearly written and well-defined documentation,
* Will select, evaluate and implement third party tools and will work with outside vendors as needed,
* Will respond quickly to changes in priorities are necessary,
* Will provide post-project support.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

* Significant, proven expertise with IBM's WebSphere Business Integrator (WBI) or IBM's MQ Series product suites.
* Experience in large, complex environments.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Strong analytic background.
* Bachelors' degree required in Computer Science, Information Science or related field of study, or equivalent years experience.
* 3+ years recent experience working in a large corporate environment installing, configuring, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting WBI.
* Experience with a large company and the associated demands of a 24x7 operation is required.
* Strong knowledge and experience with MQ processes, MQSeries queues, channels and clustering.
* Knowledgeable and experienced with WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) server and its facilities.
* Experience designing & deploying high availability middleware solutions.
* Must have good internals experience on 2/3 of the listed platforms (NT, UNIX and/or Mainframe).
* Good consultative skills and the ability to work effectively with other systems and development staff, consultants and vendors.
* 2-3 years of project management experience desired with a proven track record of supporting multiple projects, which involve interaction with other systems and departments.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
* Solid organizational, communication and analytical skills.
* Experience with technical documentation, and ability to train other support personnel.
* Good programming or scripting experience desired.
