MQSeries.net :: View topic - TopicSession.createSubscriber takes 5 minutes to return

In my ongoing quest to make sure my app can handle almost any outage, I'm having a problem finding a way to tweak the time that TopicSession.createSubscriber takes before he gives up and throws an exception.

Setup:
- Start the queue mgr, but don't start the msg broker
- Fire up the app, which tries to create a JMS subscriber. It's able to get through creating the connectinon, session, topic..but it takes a full 5 minutes for createSubscriber to finally give up and throw an exception.

Is there a way to tweak that? Our hosting center staff are used to things dying within a minute or two, so it's kind of weird for them to have to hang around 5 minutes for something to fail.
