We are sending a RFH2 header to the mainframe, however they are not expecting this, and ignoring our messages, within MQ can you drop the RFH2 header before we send to the mainframe? Im not a java developer so if this sounds all wrong, then i will try and clarify

You need to change the target client of the JMS Destination to 'MQ', not 'JMS'.

If your mainframe application haapens to be the MQ-CICS bridge then with MQ V6 it will now tolerate RFH2 (and other) headers returning them unchanged with the reply message.
