Can anyone please let me know how 'number of subscriptions' effects message broker's performance?

WBIMB is designed to be a high performance pub/sub broker.

I would be surprised if you would notice any performance hits on most hardware with less than a few thousand subscriptions.

But it depends a lot on the size of the published messages, as well as the complexity of the subscription requests - are they all topic based, or are some content based as well?

The Performance support packs should have some numbers you can look at.
