We created sender channels and receiver channels for the queue managers, local and remote queues and the transmission queues for the two queue managers to communicate.
In the AIX server we have MQ Series 5.02 and in the NT server we have MQSI 2.02 with MQ 5.2 installed. The Sender channel from the NT Server is able to communicate with AIX if we have a connection name in the channel defination ( Doesnt work if ip address is given in the sender channel defination).
But the sender channel from the AIX is not able to communicate with the NT. The error log (#AMQ9202) says that the remote host is not available or the listener might not be running. The listener is running and the host is also available.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Try pinging the NT box from AIX box. Make sure you have specified the correct IP Address and port number in CONNAME parameter.
For example,
specify CONNAME('190.123.209.23(1415)') if the listener is listening to port 1415 on NT machine.
