Hi guys,
I've a MQ Channel which suddenly gone crazy and keep retrying after a while. And sometime, when I restart the server, all would be fine again, until the problem eventually arises again. this is on the UAT environment, so it isn't too critical for me to just dump the whole MQ environment and rebuild everything from scratch.
Anyways. from the log files, here's the error messages.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05/17/05 17:41:10
AMQ9002: Channel program started.
EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'TO_QM_QMGR.SIEBEL' started.
ACTION:
None.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05/17/05 17:41:11
AMQ9507: Channel 'TO_QM_QMGR.POLISYM.U' is currently in-doubt.
EXPLANATION:
The requested operation cannot complete because the channel is in-doubt with
host 'QMGR.POLISYM.U'.
ACTION:
Examine the status of the channel, and either restart a channel to resolve the
in-doubt state, or use the RESOLVE CHANNEL command to correct the problem
manually.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05/17/05 17:41:11
AMQ9999: Channel program ended abnormally.
EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'TO_QM_QMGR.SIEBEL' ended abnormally.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages for channel program 'TO_QM_QMGR.SIEBEL' in the
error files to determine the cause of the failure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How come the 2nd message shows an in-doubt status for a different channel??? That's where I'm stuck.
any idea??? _________________ Ken Ng - http://www.placidthoughts.com/ |

Oh and to clarify further, the so called in doubt channel is actually running fine and even if I try to resolve that channel, the problematic channel is still not working. _________________ Ken Ng - http://www.placidthoughts.com/ |

Is the XMITQ shared between multiple channels ??
If not you will probably have to try and delete and recreate the channel.
Enjoy |
