Hallo,
Does anyone have experience of implementing WMQ 5.3 on AIX 5.x in an HACMP 5.1 environment with support-pac MC63 ?
The documentation for MC63 says:
Prerequisites
The software versions required are:
» WebSphere MQ V5.3 running in a supported software environment and
Either
» HACMP Version 4.3.1 or 4.4.0
or
» HACMP/ES Version 4.4.0.3
Hardware and networking requirements are those supported by HACMP.
Can I use all HACMP scripts to bring a queuemanager under HACMP control in our environment without errors? |

Is it not possible to use the original MC63 HACMP scripts? |

Yes you can. Regardless of the version of your HA scripts they need to be called from OS HA scripts. When you configure an HA resource in AIX, it asks you to give locations of three scripts: start, stop and monitor. You have to point them to appropriate MC63 often customized scripts. And I want re-iterate, get an HA knowledgeble AIX admin by your side. _________________ Mikhail Malamud
