Hi,
I am migrating from mqsi v 2.1 FP 6 to wbi-mb v5.0 fp5. I am planning to have both the versions co-exist and would like to know if i would be able to make deploys using the 5.0 toolkit.
Also, if anyone has already done this what are the considerations for a good backup plan in the case of a rollback
You might have to FP your 2.1s. I forget if FP6 allows for 5.0 deployment or not.
You can't coexist brokers or config mgrs on the same hardware. You can coexist 2.1 brokers in a 5.0 configmgr domain - and thus deploy to either broker version from the same tooling.
You can coexist tooling, with some fairly well documented (at least on this site) steps.
You should make sure to follow the installation instructions for 5.0 very carefully. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
