All,
I am testing a map in Map Designer in WBI InterChange System Manager by loading
Source Business Object details in the test tab. After loading BO details by clicking 'Load From' button.
On the Debug menu, I have run the 'test run'. I have provided the ICS server instance name
and username and password. But, the test run is failing and I am getting a message as follows:
Connection to Server 'XXXX' failed. Please verify that the server is running and is spelled properly.
Anybody's help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you! _________________ voyager |

Is the server running?
If yes, instead of giving the server name, do a browse on the servers and then select the server.
Also, after it fails, what do you see on the server? Are the BO's deployed on the server? Is the map deployed on the server? |

Yes, the server is running and I am selecting the server from the list by browsing.
After I give, username and password in the Run Test dialog box and then click connect,
I get the warning message. I am not doing deploying the BO and Map on the server
as they are already deployed and I do not see any other messages or errors in the log.

Thank you all,
I have tried several things to make it work. But, I could not.
Right now, I am using Test Connector to test the Maps. I have already opened a problem ticket with IBM.
Anyway, thank you all for your valuable suggestions.

Well, I was told that this type of thing can happen when you don't set the CLASSPATH and PATH before you install ICS |
