Hi

Our broker is working fine until our DBA applied the fix pack 9 (DB2 version 7.2). During applying fixpack the broker database was backed up then deleted and recreated and all the contents were restored. We are getting the following error.

Quote:
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'IM002'; Native Error Code '0'; Error Text '
[DataDirect][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specifie
d'.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State 'I
M002' SQL Native Error Code '0' SQL Error Text '[DataDirect][ODBC
lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the m
essage broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accomp
anying messages to determine the cause of the error.

Here is the odbc.ini

[BKDB]
Driver=/home/db2admin/sqllib/lib/db2_36.o
Description=Broker Database
Database=BKDB

I also ran mqsi_setupdatabase command.

Also I could connect to this database from db2 command prompt using broker database user ID and password.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Satish

Satish, what;s going on man? Are u still at ibc? Here are my two cents. Your driver is Driver=/home/db2admin/sqllib/lib/db2_36.o which is an object file needs be linked with the current db libs to become an executable. My guess is that the part of the error message about not finding data source name is a bunch of b. because it cannot load the driver since the libraries it was linked with are no longer valid.

Another important point about linking. I recall that after upgrading a fix pack on db2 one has to run quite a few scripts including those that re-link
your db files, instance files, etc. I would download the readme from support pack and go through it myself very carefully and make sure your dba has executed all the steps.
