I have several questions for the forum. Here they are........

What is the main difference between WAS and web servers?.

As I see, there are some .war files deployed in WAS and I also developed a application with 5 JSP programming files. I deployed them in WAS and the process is running fine. Can we use WAS to deploy applications?.

In real time, do I need any web server (java supported) to deploy all Workflow related program files(JSP files,HTML files ) or is WAS enough?

To start with, this is not a forum for Websphere Application Server or any other Web/HTTP Server.

Application Server is what is required to run your applications ( all sort of j2ee stuff )

Web Server is also called as HTTP Server. The role of Webserver is to point the clients to the correct apps and so forth.WAS comes with IBM HTTP server and Apache HTTP server also

you need an application server to host your workflow application. with WAS it is pretty easy ( as it is from same vendor ).
