Is anyone successfully running WMQ in a HA Linux cluster? I'm not talking about WMQ Clustering, rather hardware clustering with shared disk and automatic failover/failback. We're headed down this road and I'm wondering if we'll be poineers.
We're still at the stage of figuring out what clustering software to use. We'll be using SuSE Linux on intel. I've reviewed each of the WMQ HA SupportPacs and understand what needs to be accomplished from the WMQ point of view.
Does anyone have experiences to share? Product recommendations? |

Did you resolve your problem and if how?
Thx in advance! |

Hi,
We ended up implementing HP ServiceGuard on Linux. I took the ServiceGuard supportPac available on the IBM site and customized it for linux. We are running on RedHat ES 3. Our cluster is able to failover in about 35 seconds.
We're now toying around with a proof of concept to do the same thing, but using RedHat Cluster server, or whatever it's called.
Once you understand the basic concepts and then the details of how WMQ needs to operate under a cluster, it's pretty simple.
I hope this helps. |
