Hi

Has anybody done performance / resource consumption testing of how much the Java procedure call from ESQL takes in WBIMB (CSD04) (in Win / AIX platforms) ? Will for example every Java call always fire up new java JVM process ?

Yes I could also test this by my self, but I just wondered that perhaps somebody has already done testing for this.

I currently use set of ESQL procedures to write log records in flow to Environment and in the end of the flow (or in error handler) sub-flow puts them as message to queue, from where another flow writes them to file and/or database.

I was thinking about to try that I would move the flow ESQL logging to use Java component, but first I would like to hear comments about how much the Java call by itself consumes and how much it matters for example if the input prms to Java call would be large (like 200 - 500 k.) ?

Thanks for answers

Won't, all of your Java procudures will running inside the broker's own JVM.
